Abacus Research, LLC has its main office space in downtown Eugene and has also acquired office and computing facilities through an arrangement with the Oregon Research Institute.

Office Space
Abacus Research personnel occupy over 2,500 square feet of office space and meeting rooms at 845 Willamette Street, Eugene, Oregon. Abacus Research personnel also occupy over 400 square feet of office space and have access to several conference meeting rooms, phone conference and voice-mail services, and other standard office accoutrements at 1600 Millrace Drive, Suite #200, Eugene, Oregon.

Computing Facilities
Abacus Research has full access to a computing environment interconnected via a high speed state-of the-art network and four remote sites connected through wide area network links. Servers include four Solaris servers with four terabytes of disk space, Two Linux servers with three terabytes of disk space and Ten 64 bit processors, along with thirty six Microsoft Windows servers providing the core data processing systems. Workstations include SPARC and Linux workstations, Windows desktops and laptop PCs, and Macintosh systems with connections to laser printers and copy machines. All computers are linked via TCP/IP with both 100mb and 1gb Ethernet connections through multi-gigabit switching backbones.

These systems support many networked applications including Internet and Intranet web services, SQL databases, accounting, electronic mail services with integrated voice-mail, calendaring, project management and file and print services. We have access to an extensive array of statistical software, including SAS, SPSS, MLwiN, HLM, Sudaan, S-plus, R, Mplus, Amos, Power and Precision, and others. Computing resources also include survey scanning hardware and software, database client applications, spreadsheets, word processors, presentation software, web design software, desktop publishing, and a variety of application development and utility programs.
